Bluetooth Devices

Posted in Accessories, Bluetooth on 06.08.09 by Merlyn

Ever wonder where the word bluetooth came from? Yes, we all know that it means

an open wireless protocol for exchanging data over short distances from fixed and mobile devices, creating personal area networks (PANs). It was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS232 data cables. It can connect several devices, overcoming problems of synchronization(wikipedia)

but here is some history of the word(bluetooth) that we are widely using today.

Way back in 10th century there was viking king of Denmark named Harald Blåtand who united Denmark and Norway and to have brought Christianity to Scandinavia.
Danish word "Blå tand" which means "Blue Tooth" was the word chosen to imply same meaning to "Bluetooth" of today. It stands as a protocol or standard for different
communication companies, a way to communicate with each other freely and synchronously.
